  • CONNIE SERROR

    HEALTH AND WELLNESS MINISTRY VOLUNTEER

Connie came to our church in January of 1975 to serve as their organist until Easter. Forty-six years later it appears no one specified which Easter that would be! In addition to her love for music, she is also a registered nurse and currently the church's Parish Nurse. Connie became an advocate for personal health and began a Health and Wellness Ministry. In addition to that ministry, she coordinates a bereavement support group, GriefShare. It is rewarding to be part of the healing that occurs when grieving individuals experience the help, hope and encouragement this Scripturally-oriented program offers.

She is a lifelong resident of the Toledo area, residing in Sylvania since 1982. She has two grown children and four granddaughters. Her interests include being an active community-based American Heart Association CPR instructor, and being a very-involved Nana, making frequent out-of-town trips to help out with those growing grandchildren.

  • SHELLY KIRSCH

    DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH

I'm Shelly Kirsch. I'm a wife, mother of 2 sons and Mimi to an adorable grandson. I'm a hairdresser by trade. I've attended Marketplace Community Church for over 20 years. Over the years and seasons of life, I've been involved with many aspects of ministry from Children's Ministry, board member, Small Group Leader, and Hospitality Coordinator. As life changed and children grew, I prayed for God to break my heart for what breaks His. He did and planted the seed of what grew into the Feed Your Neighbor Food Pantry Ministry. We just celebrated our 10th year in 2021. As one of the newest members of staff, I'm so exited to be part of the team and following God's lead in our church and the ways we minister to the community God has placed us in.
